Newsletter 9/6

Good morning,

We are excited for the first day of recreational soccer games and looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the park. As we prepare for a fun packed season, we want to mention a few events and dates that you have had in the past along with a few new events and opportunities we will be having this season.

Game Day: Stop by our concession stand for a great snack before the match and sit back and enjoy. We do ask parents to sit on the opposite side of players to allow their coaches to teach the children without distraction.

Volunteer Opportunities: We have a number of volunteer opportunities available for those interested in serving their community soccer organization. Email us to find out more.

Picture Day:  We will be having picture day on 9/14. Coaches will be given a picture schedule along with order forms to ensure everyone is adequately prepared and informed to have an efficient picture day. We ask all parents to arrive on time to allow pictures to be taken in a timely manner and to avoid any disruptions to our scheduled games.

NEW EVENTS

Raffle Prizes: This season HCYSC will be having a series of raffle prizes throughout the season. Some prizes will be won in a single day while others may be won throughout the season. Children will be walking around selling raffle tickets and the proceeds will go into field and equipment improvements.

End of Season Potluck: On October 12th we will end the season with a potluck style picnic at the pavilion located at the soccer park. Starting at 10:00 and going through the afternoon as children finish up their matches. Parents are welcome to bring their favorite dish and share food and laughter with other members of the club while getting a chance to better meet the staff that makes this all possible.

All Star Game: On October 12th we will also partake in our first recreational All Star Game, where children who were voted by teammates as the best on each team will participate in a head to head match up to finish off the season. A great reward for their hard work and focus they have had throughout the season.

We are very much looking forward to sharing this fall soccer experience with you and hope everyone has a great season. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, comments, or ideas you may have to create a better experience for all of our members.
